Violets

Let me just say, "I love violets!"
In any form, I love violets. I always have. I don't remember a time when I didn't love the flowers, the sweets, gum - anything violet!
Sunday, being  Mothering Sunday, my daughter, Polly, brought me macarons from Pix.
Pix is the creation  of Cheryl Wakerhauser who trained at the pâtisserie of MOF Philippe Urraca in Southern France. Portland is lucky to have so may interesting and creative establishments. I love her macarons. I've have had good luck making them at various times, but it is so nice to have this treat, just for me!

This morning I am indulging in the last two macarons with my tea. The sun is shining (look quick, it won't last) and I'm taking a break from the usual household chores to enjoy my treat.

Oh yum! I love those macaroons! They look gorgeous too, just like your pretty violet tea cup!
I love violets too. When I was a little girl, I would watch for them to show up in our side yard each spring. They seemed very magical to me.

Terri
