Shelf-life

One of my recent finds at a garage sale was a narrow, white, wooden bookcase. Ah ha, just the thing for my guest bath, but a little dull. My daughter suggested I paint the interior the same lovely turquoise blue that I had previously painted a tiny wall in the same room. I did just that, and I'm happy to say I'm quite pleased with the results.

I have been reading about waxing paint, so I was looking around in the cupboard for wax, but the best I could come up with was some old Glo-Coat floor wax. Well it did say wax on the bottle. What could it hurt, right? I tried it and it seemed to work. I like the finish. It gives it a finished look.

So, here is the dear little piece:

I love it! Did you add wainscoting to the back of the shelves? That is such a great find. I, too, love yardsaling for finds just like that one! Have you ever used http://www.yardsalesearch.com? This site is awesome because it maps out the local yard sales for me. It has saved me so much time. Just thought I'd pass that along :)

Liz, I couldn't find a link to write back to you, so I'll try to answer you here and hope you read it.
I just painted it as it was.
Thank you so much for the link to the garage sales! I love it. It will be so useful. I'm sending it to my garage sale partner. she is going to love it, too.
