Celebrating The Queen's Jubilee today, at afternoon tea with my friends,
Mary, and her sister-in-law, Dorraine. We had a grand time catching up with all the family news. Lots of laughs and fun.(Mary even wore her tiara!)
There were tea sandwiches, scones with butter and cherry jam, madelinese, and iced fairy cakes.
...and of course, lots of tea!
The tea cozy is one I made while we lived in England. It's brocade, embellished with bits of antique lace, silk roses, pearls, velvet leaves and decorations from my wedding veil.

What a lovely tea for you and your friends. Beautiful tea cozy!
Thanks for joining Let's Dish!
I love this -- looks like so much fun and so tasty too. Every time I see the Queen, I miss my mother (in a sweet way). QE2 was my mother's fashion icon, and she always wore the same style clothes and hairdo! I never saw her wear slacks, always in a dress with stockings, etc., and I used to refer to her wardrobe as her "tea with the queen" dresses.
What a wonderful tea party - so fun! and everything looks perfect!!
