Today at a garage sale I spied a large garden étagère that I wanted to buy. I didn't have any way to get it home or even if I could I knew I couldn't get it up 3 flights of stairs. A very kind young man offered to put it in his truck and bring it home for me. He did and in talking to him, he told me he had been in the Army for 15 years and had been in Iraq and Afghanistan several times. I thanked him and offered him something for gas, but he refused. All I could do was give him an hug and and my sincere thanks.
The army makes a man out of a boy.

What a lovely thing for the young man to do. I hope that he encounters kindness along his way too.
What a thoughtful young man! Your new etagere is perfect for your plants. Glad you found it and so nice that a thoughtful young man was eager to help you get it home. Happy weekend!
There are still some very kind and thoughtful people around thankfully. A nice find if you like displaying plants.
Me, too.
Things like this restore my faith in mankind.
I'm looking forward to seeing it with some nice blooms later this spring and summer.
My prayers for this young man!
P., I never heard if you got the gift card I sent you?
What a thoughtful young man! I like your new étagère. It will be beautiful covered in plants.
Hi there, and thank you for your comments on my blog today... I will be 63 on May 13th and am not ashamed to tell the world!... I am of French heritage and yes, that is how we think... I looked at the link you gave me... agreed with some of what was said about French women, disagreed with some of it as well... for EVERY woman, life is all about one's attitude... not a dress size, not an age in numbers... but how one looks at life... I cherish each and every moment of each and every day... I was raised that way, and look forward to a much longer, happy life... xoxo Julie Marie

I will be having a Mother's Day giveaway this next Friday with glimpses of whats up for grabs all this week. :)
Sometimes those anonymous encounters make us appreciate life the most. Great to have you be a part of Seasonal Sundays.
