Today, after lunch, during our latest forage session at our favorite Goodwill, my friend, Mary, and I found a dress straight out of:
I never watched Dynasty when it was on TV. I know, I know - it was popular and well liked. I just didn't get started watching it as I had done Dallas. Oh, I wanted to be Sue-Ellen. I thought she always looked so beautiful and she dressed with such class. The women on Dynasty just look flash.
This dress and coat was hanging at the checkout at Goodwill. It was well made and I'm sure at one time absolutely beautiful - shoulder pads and all! The beading and hand work was quite well done. There was a time - way back when - I'm sure it would have been considered very beautiful.

That dress is pure Dynasty! I never watched Dynasty either. I loved Dallas and Knots Landing.
Well they say what goes around comes around!!
Mary Anne,
Oh, please let's hope not!!!
I don't ever want to wear shoulder pads again.
Don't you love goodwill? There are so many amazing (not to say disturbing) things you can find :)
Do you love Great Britain? Come on over to the Britophile's sanctuary where you'll find pictures, video, recipes, history, news, and more!

The dress is gorgeous! I loved Dynasty...and watched it when I was growing up...I loved Dallas too...this dress does look like something that one of the Carrington Ladies would have sported around in back in the day :) By the way...your Easter Eggs in the post below are precious!
Hoping you have a nice weekend...
Big hugs,
Queenie
WOW! It looks like it is straight out of the series. You know, shoulder pads are becoming popular again!
Nancy
Well, there are shoulder pads, and then there are SHOULDER PADS!
Shoulder pads are essential in a well tailored suit. Football pads are never going to happen again!!!!

Cute posting! You are right--it looks just like what Sue-Ellen would have worn. Those ladies looked like a million bucks all the time (I know it was the shoulder pads--hehe). Have a great weekend!
aaaahh fashion, I was a Knot's Landing groupie. Goodwill has a little bit of everything! Thanks for linking up with VIF!!
hugs,
Debra
