"Flowery", but exactly right

In July of 1838 a young radical by the name of Ralph Waldo Emerson addressed the seniors of Harvard Divinity School, saying, "In this refulgent summer, it has been a luxury to draw the breath of life. The grass grows, the buds burst, the meadow is spotted with fire and gold in the tint of flowers."
Flowery words, but he could have been describing these last weeks of this Spring.
It has begun in earnest - finally. The weather had been so cold and rainy, here in Oregon, that even the "Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival" had to be pushed back. But now we are beginning to have some sunny days. Still it rains most days, but only intermittently with dazzling sunshine in between showers.

As you can see, the weather has been very uncooperative.

I love when spring finally starts to feel like spring! We've been having lots of rain too but the past 4 days have been in the mid eighties with plenty of sunshine - yay!!

Thank you for your visit and I really appreciate your comment. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.

God Bless,
Kathleen
