Austrian Easter Eggs

While staying in Salzburg, the lady of the house, Maria, was displaying her beautiful Easter eggs made for her by a special friend who had worked at a china painting company. They are all so beautiful.

I have been painting eggs since 1970. I still have most of them. Some have been broken along the way, but there are still dozens and dozens left. I will be posting them during the next few weeks.
So, for today I present Austrian Easter eggs ---

These eggs are so delicate, beautifully painted and textures.I usually do the same in Italy for Easter, with twisted willow, hanging blossom, eggs and birds. Those tulips are absolutely beautiful, I too love fresh cut flowers in my home.Have a great week.Yvette x

These eggs are so delicate and beautiful. I wish I had the talent and patience to do something like this.

I have a small egg tree I haven't gotten out in years. I bet my grandkids would love it. Thanks for the reminder.

Loving those tulips as well... and the post about the violin player... WOW, really makes you think about the pace of life, and missing out on the beauty that might be right in front of you.

Those are sooo pretty!!! Such delicate work. How could you put them away for the other 50 weeks or so of the year?

I thought about posting Romanian eggs! I then thought I would wait until we are closer to Easter, so look for them later.
